Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That is how the site is funded. It does not change what we publish, and it does not change the price you pay.
What an Affiliate Link Is
An affiliate link carries a tracking parameter identifying us as the referrer. If you follow one and go on to buy, the retailer pays us a share of the sale. You pay exactly what you would have paid arriving there any other way.
Who We Have Relationships With
Alpine Gold Exchange. We participate in Alpine Gold's affiliate and referral programmes. Two distinct programmes are involved:
- Goldback product purchases — links to Alpine's Goldbacks store.
- Alpine Gold Account and leases — links to Alpine's account signup.
We may add other retailers over time. When we do, this page is updated before the links go live.
How Affiliate Links Are Marked
- Every page carrying one shows a disclosure at the top, before the content.
- Every affiliate link carries
rel="nofollow sponsored"in the markup, which is how search engines are told it is a paid link. - Each call-to-action block repeats the disclosure directly beneath the link.
- The footer of every page on the site carries it again.
What the Money Does Not Buy
This is the part that matters, so it is specific rather than reassuring.
- It does not soften our coverage. We publish that a "free" Goldback programme sends out-of-state participants silver rather than gold; that a partner's own pages contradict each other on lease exit fees; and that no mintage has been published for notes currently on sale. None of that assists a sale.
- It does not buy placement. No company has paid to be featured, reviewed favourably, or ranked above another. We have never accepted payment for a review.
- It does not give anyone approval rights. No company sees our articles before publication, and none has ever been given the opportunity to request a change.
- It does not change a price. We have no discount codes and no arrangement that alters what you are charged.
What You Should Do with This Information
Read our commercial coverage knowing we have a financial interest in you clicking through. That is a real conflict, disclosed rather than hidden.
The practical protection is that we tell you when to verify something yourself, and we do that constantly — prices move daily, availability changes without notice, and company terms get rewritten silently. Check the live listing before you buy anything, regardless of what any guide tells you, including this one.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you think a link is inadequately disclosed, please tell us. We would rather fix it.
